Geospatial World: Centralized data intelligence-based planning necessary for sustainable development
— GEOSPATIAL WORLD (@geoworldmedia) August 31, 2017
Decision making at both national and international level is becoming data-driven. Data – spatial data to be specific is critical to solving a lot of national problems and data intelligence can, therefore, have a profound implication for the development sector.
Geospatial World recently featured an exclusive interview with our co-founder Prukalpa Sankar!
She spoke about the power of geospatial data in three of our recent deployments: driving micro-targeted development in 290 villages in Chandrapur with the Tata Trusts, optimizing locations for 10,000 new LPG centers with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and developing a tracker to monitor India’s progress on the Sustainable Development Goals with the United Nations.
SocialCops has partnered with the United Nations in India to develop an intelligence tracker…. We were able to create a bigger, more informed picture of the country’s development and find the underlying issues keeping India from achieving the SDGs.
