“SocialCops and its fellow pioneers are front and centre in shaping the ongoing Fourth Industrial Revolution and we believe they will be transforming society and industry in a positive way in the years to come.”
– Fulvia Montresor, Head of Technology Pioneers at the World Economic Forum
Every year, the World Economic Forum recognizes a list of companies from across the world as Technology Pioneers. The Technology Pioneers are chosen by a selection committee of more than 60 academics, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and corporate executives. The selection this year was based on the potential of these companies to “transform society and industry” and “shape the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.
We are happy to share that SocialCops has made it to the list of Technology Pioneers 2018 along with 60 other companies from across the world! We are so grateful to join the elite community of trailblazing companies that are committed to significantly impact business and society through design, development, and deployment of new technologies and innovations. It is a huge honor for us since past winners include global technology companies like Airbnb, Google, Kickstarter, Mozilla, Palantir Technologies, Spotify, Twitter, and Wikimedia. You can check the complete list of Technology Pioneers 2018 here.
“When we founded SocialCops, we wanted to democratize data and make it possible for millions of organizations in the world to derive the kind of value from data that only financial institutions and Silicon Valley giants are capable of deriving today.”
– Prukalpa Sankar, SocialCops
It all started with an idea and a dream back in 2013 — a dream of a better world, a world that uses data to solve problems that matter and drive some of the most critical decisions. Today, that dream has united engineers, data scientists, marketers, and entrepreneurs on a mission to solve world’s most critical challenges through data intelligence.
“We want to use this award as an opportunity to keep engaging with global stakeholders in government and society, as well as in business, to help adopt data-driven systems and increase their impact.”
– Prukalpa Sankar, SocialCops
From training 10 million rural women to use smartphones, to building a visual platform that is today used by bureaucrats to track some of the major government flagship schemes in India, it has truly been an incredible journey! Our team, our partners, people we work with and their belief in us has been our biggest strength all this while. And with this support, we are only more committed and pumped up to take this to the next level.
The universe has its own ways of showing that we are doing something right and this is just one of those. Here is to everything that is ahead — to building more meaningful technology, transforming every data point into a meaningful decision, impacting lives and continue working hard towards our goals!
From here, onwards and upwards!
