In case you missed it, here are some big takeaways from our talk:
#1: What we think of as big data — aka online data — only represents a small slice of India’s population. Only an estimated 29% of India’s population uses the internet, and 70% of those internet users are male.
#2: Using data for important decisions in India requires going beyond online data. It needs data intelligence, the transformation of all possible data (online data, public data, internal organizational data, and data from the field) into the insights you need to make a better decision.
#3: Data intelligence can be used to make important decisions and confront tough problems in governance, finance, marketing, sales, media, philanthropy, and more.
