We’re on a mission to hack the world’s biggest problems using data. Come join SocialCops.
What the Mission is about?
No algorithm tells mayors the most optimized allocation of city budgets, no tool tells the ministry how to optimize medicine supply chains on the basis of disease outbreak data & no data set tells us whether girl toilets in schools are functional or not. We’re on a mission to solve the world’s most pressing problems using data.
By layering data about people, healthcare, education & livelihoods – our data stack can help reveal otherwise hidden correlations such as that between disease outbreak & contaminated water sources & how toilet facilities could affect education levels – to help drive massive decisions.
I guarantee you the day weapons are no longer needed to keep the peace, I’ll start making bricks and beams for baby hospitals. – Tony Stark, Iron Man
We’re building our own groundbreaking weapons using the latest and most lethal technologies known to mankind: Node.js, Backbone.js, Mongo DB, Python, Leaflet, D3.js, Elastic Search, Bootstrap, Natural Language Processing, HTML5 & CSS.
Our nonprofit partners send us information from the remotest parts of the world giving us rich insights into the problems faced by them using our mobile tool – Collect. Collect is the most rugged tool known to mankind – works without internet & in just about any phone and is used by even semi-literate people to transmit information to us.
We need to be on top of all the information out there to plan our rescue missions. Our Search Tool makes that possible – our sleek infrastructure scrapes PDF files, Government Reports & Websites to create a massive repository of data. Our search tool has been built to give us answers to specific questions.
We solve massive problems by partnering with decision makers – heads of states, CEOs of multinational companies and founders of nonprofit organizations. Our visualizations help them find the answers that they are looking for – by turning millions of data points into one simple story.
Who’s in on the mission
Since the mission was kicked off in 2013, it has garnered widespread support including from Forbes, Fortune, 500 Startups, Google’s Managing Director Rajan Anandan and even India’s Prime Minister Modi. Today, the world’s top 120 nonprofits, governments and multinational companies work with us to solve massive problems.
Being a superhero is a lot of fun. – Chris Hemsworth
Calling all Superheroes
We’re looking for the driven and ambitious ones. The ones who aren’t satisfied with just being good – the ones who want to be great. The ones who’d stay up for an extra hour in the night getting the colors of a presentation right. The ones who aren’t satisfied until our design is optimized for Internet Explorer. The ones who thrive in fast paced environments. The ones who don’t need to be given opportunities – the ones who go find opportunities. The ones who will end up saving the world.
