Mr. Srinivas Kesineni, the Member of Parliament (MP) from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with the Tata Trusts undertook a community mapping and micro-planning program for 264 villages. The program covered Vijayawada’s four Assembly constituencies — Jaggaiahpet, Mylavaram, Nandigama, and Tiruvur.
The goal — transform every one of the 264 villages into a model village by creating and carrying out micro-targeted development plans.
The Centre for People’s Forestry was the implementation partner for this deployment, mobilizing 1,200 volunteers to kickstart data collection for this project. SocialCops was the data intelligence partner, leveraging our platform to collect data from over a million people, automatically check incoming data in real time, clean and analyze all the data, and create a visual centralized planning dashboard that district administrators and development organizations alike used to target and plan their budgets, policies, and initiatives more effectively.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the efforts of Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas for initiating a first of its kind “model village” project.

In you “Case Study” titled, ‘Community Mapping and Micro-Planning Project for 264 Villages Across Vijayawada’, Slide 31 you show that Banavathu is eligible for ‘Integrated Disease Surveillance Project’. The interesting aspect is that the same is meant for detection and treatment of Leprosy. What makes you think he has contracted Leprosy?
You also say Jaya is eligible for ‘National Scheme of Incentives to Girls of Secondary Schools’. Jaya is 17 according to you and we don’t know if she’s even enrolled in a school. What makes you think why she’s NOT availing the scheme. Is she even eligible for it?
Before we started conducting surveys, we looked up the eligibility requirements for all of India’s schemes. Then, during the surveys, we collected data that covered each of the eligibility requirements, plus we asked each person about the schemes they were already signed up for. With this data, we could figure out who was eligible for schemes that they weren’t already signed up for.
